Reflex Math Program: Students should be achieving a green light everyday- Monday-Friday. Some students may have time to complete this assignment at school. If not, please add this for homework. We extended Our goal is to be 100% on Multiplication and Division by December 18, 2018.
Reflex Math Party will be December 19, 2018.

Reading Street Story: Pushing Up the Sky


Students will be learning about: 

  • Comprehension: Character, Setting, Plot, and Inferring

  • Conventions: Main and Helping Verbs

  • Spelling: Unit 3 Week 2: Prefixes un-, re-, mis-, dis-

  • Vocabulary: Unknown Words

  • Writing: Informational

NOTE: We are extending our Reading Street Story due to the upcoming short week.


Content Integration:


Science:

  • Students will understand that the sun is the main source of heat and light for things living on Earth. They will also understand that the motion of rubbing objects together may produce heat.

Brain Boosters

Third graders attend special classes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for Brain Boosters. Students rotate through the following classes this year:

  • Creativity Computer Lab taught by Mrs. Lindsay Christensen

  • Playworks (P.E. based program) taught by Mrs. Leesa Mansouri

  • Music taught by Mrs. Katie Rasmussen

  • Library taught Mrs. Janis Kearl and Mrs. Annette Evans

Please look at the following schedule to determine when your students' brain booster occurs. Make sure students bring/wear appropriate shoes during Playworks and return library books on the correct day.
