Mathematics:

Topic 12: Understanding Fractions as Numbers
  • Divide Regions into Equal Parts

  • Fractions as Regions

  • Understand the Whole as a Fraction

  • Fractions on a Number line Greater and Less than One

  • Graphing Line Plots and Length with Fractions & Mixed Numbers

Reflex Math Program: Students should be achieving a green light everyday- Monday-Friday if not 100%. Some students may have time to complete this assignment at school. If not, please add this for homework.

  • Practice once a week, if you are at 100% for the year.

  • Keep practicing once a week if you are 100% to stay sharp☺ Some kids are forgetting this step, and they are losing ground.We have students who haven’t logged in since February.

Language Arts


Reading Street Story: I Love Saturdays y Domingos

Students will be learning about: 

  • Comprehension: Main Idea and Details, Inferring

  • Conventions: Comparative and Superlative Adjectives

  • Spelling: Unit 5 Week 2- competed last week

  • Vocabulary: Homophones

  • Writing: Opinion Writing & Narratives

Brain Boosters

Third graders attend special classes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for Brain Boosters. Students rotate through the following classes this year:

  • Creativity Computer Lab taught by Mrs. Lindsay Christensen

  • Playworks (P.E. based program) taught by Mrs. Leesa Mansouri

  • Music taught by Mrs. Katie Rasmussen

  • Library taught Mrs. Janis Kearl and Mrs. Annette Evans

Please look at the following schedule to determine when your students' brain booster occurs. Make sure students bring/wear appropriate shoes during Playworks and return library books on the correct day.
